WAILING WALL
The “Wailing Wall” expresses the universal experience of grief. While deeply personal, it evokes the age-old story of man’s losses in reference to the giant wall in Jerusalem, begun in 19 BC and sacred to both Muslims and Jews. Two thousand years later, Jewish mourners continue to pray and shed tears in the paradoxically intimate privacy of the wall itself.
