 Sword Bearer commemorates the Women’s Liberation Movement as it matures in the new century. So much has been accomplished, and so much remains to be done. The Sword Bearer does not wield her power in reckless confrontation. She sits firm and vigilant, bearing the wisdom of experience - a judicious caretaker of the sword of strength. She guards against incursions, preserves her gains, and remains ready for the next battle. No longer young, her flesh shows as much the effect of gravity as her demeanor illustrates her gravitas.
