MOTHER TERESA

Martin Luther

Barry Woods Johnston has given us a penetrating portrait of Mother Teresa and a few of the many she touched. This mixed-media five-foot wall panel, commissioned by Notre Dame College, delves deeply into the character and perception of each subject, giving us portraits frozen in time. Mother Teresa was a German sister who founded hundreds of girl’s and women’s schools worldwide, including Notre Dame in Baltimore, MD. The concept shows the protective care the sister gave to her students as they progressed from childhood into adulthood.
