 This commission expresses the love and delight of a mother’s joyous welcoming of her newborn into the world. Finally, she can see, embrace, and dance with her child. Commissioned for the White River Medical Center in Arkansas by Chicago architect Walter Eckenhoff, whom the artist had worked with before.
