FAUST II

Faust

Many great writers have told the story of Faust, an earnest scholar, who accepted a demon's offer to sell his soul for love, fame, or power.  Here he is depicted in the throes of agony, having consigned himself forever to suffer the tortures of Hell in exchange for a few fleeting and ultimately unfulfilling pleasures on earth. Poor Faust! He has no one but himself to blame. He ponders his fate, and he must ponder that for eternity.
