DNA MAYPOLE

 DNA Maypole suggests a parallel between the double helix of DNA and the spiraling Maypole as a fertility symbol. The descending couple join hands and reach into the upward-spiraling genetic pool of children. Fountain water would add to the fluidity of the motion of the sculpture. DNA Maypole II is similar to the first sculpture, but a base has been added and the sculpture extends the helix into four spirals instead of three.
