CELEBRATION
Celebration (aka Community) represents a community of eight figures aspiring for exhilarating commonality as if their collective souls are rising up out of the bondage of the earth into a higher dimension. It’s well appreciated that it is not the things handed to us in our lives that make us happy and give us joy and our lives meaning; but rather the interpersonal relationships, the poor man’s blessing. This asymmetrical composition is a playful arrangement of uplifting figures, all in praise of the gift of life. The work combines exuberant energy, abstract form, and realism, expressing the dynamic interrelationship between individuals, couples, and the group.
